Statement of the Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad:

  • No unexpected side effects were observed after 48 hours had passed on the sample group that received the Covid-19 vaccine during the trial opening of the campaign.
  • Tomorrow, Sunday, the campaign will begin its actual work with priority groups of workers in the health sector.
  • Inviting the Ministry of Health cadres via text messages to those who announced their desire to be vaccinated and completed registration on the website with QR code.
  • The priority for medical personnel will also be extended after the first week of the first phase of the campaign. In addition, priority is given to the elderly and workers in the frontline.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad announced that no unexpected side effects were detected after 48 hours had passed on the sample group that received the Covid91 vaccine during the experimental opening of the campaign the day before yesterday, Thursday. As it included samples from various members of the community and its groups of medical cadres, citizens and residents of different ages, according to the health guidelines for receiving the vaccine.

Dr. Al-Sanad said, Based on the ministry’s pillars of the pre-prepared vaccination plan, the campaign will begin its actual work tomorrow, Sunday, with the priority from health sector workers, including doctors, nurses, technicians, and administrators, and those who deal directly with “Covid-19-” patients or those who deal with suspected cases as well.

Al-Sanad emphasized that the ministry’s plan and strategy regarding the anti-virus vaccination campaign for Covid-19 focuses mainly on giving priority to medical personnel in the first phase of the campaign.

Dr. Al-Sanad clarified that the Ministry of Health cadres were invited today via text messages including the date and place of vaccination. This is for those who announce their desire to take the vaccination and have completed the registration on the website designated for the campaign. He pointed out that the Ministry’s cadres and workers in the appropriate ranks must bring their special work ID and their commitment to the date and place of vaccination sent to them via text message; Again, we are calling all Ministry of Health staff to take the initiative to register to take vaccination in order to protect them and their families

Dr. Al-Sanad announced that the first week of the first phase of the campaign, according to the data and statistics of the registration site, will record the vaccination of medical personnel who have completed the registration procedures through the website site designated for the campaign.

He explained that the priority for medical staff will also be extended after the first week of the first phase of the campaign, in addition to the priority of the elderly and workers in the first ranks, leading to the provision of the vaccine, respectively, according to the stages of the plan for all members of society.
