(RIYADH, ika-27 ng Mayo 2013) – Patuloy ang pag-conduct ng Embahada ng “Lost Passport” services sa consular field office nito sa International Philippine School of Riyadh (IPSR) para sa mga “absconded” o takas na manggagawa, kasama na rito ang mga nagtratrabaho sa employer na hindi nila orihinal na sponsor.

Ang consular field office na ito sa IPSR ay bukas hanggang Martes, ika-4 ng Hunyo 2013 lamang.

Dahil sa napakaraming manggagawa na nais makakuha ng “lost passport” services, kinailangan ng Embahada na gawing salitan ang pag-asikaso ng mga babae at lalake, ayon sa sumusunod na schedule:

(RIYADH, 12 May 2013) – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh urges all Filipino workers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to correct their status in view of the generous exemptions and facilitation granted and announced by the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Labor wherein workers can easily correct their residency and labor status, or otherwise leave the country, even without first obtaining No Objection Certificates from their current employers.

The Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Labor called on all establishments, individual, and expatriates to immediately rectify their violations of the rules and regulation of residency and labor laws and to take advantage of the exemptions and facilitations approved by the Royal Decree before the expiration of the grace period up to 24-08-1434 corresponding to 3-July -2013. Meanwhile, the concerned authorities confirmed that they would begin the inspection campaigns and will immediately implement the rules and regulations to the violator employers and expatriate workers after the deadline.

Philippine Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago welcomed the guidelines, exemptions and facilities announced jointly by the Ministries of Interior and Labor on 10 May and posted on the Saudi Press Agency in Arabic, which were approved by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, that provide for exemptions for expatriates to rectify their labor and residency status.

“On behalf of the Filipinos in the Kingdom, we thank the King and the Saudi authorities for the guidelines, and we vow to work closely with the community and the Saudi authorities to help our nationals rectify their labor and residency status within the grace period granted by the King,” said Ambassador Ezzedin Tago.

In order to meet the high demand for passport renewals in the Eastern Region,   the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh announces its revised schedule for outreach consular services missions to Al Khobar, also known as the “Embassy on Wheels”, for 2013.

Philippine Embassy Serves Over 527 Filipinos in Consular Outreach in Eastern Region

The Philippine Embassy conducted its second consular outreach mission to Al-Khobar in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia on 26-27 January, and served 527 Filipinos.
The consular team traveled to Al-Khobar, more than 400 kilometers from Riyadh, the capital where the Embassy is located, for this consular outreach. The consular services were held at the Aljazeera International School Dammam.
