A simple essay writing contest turned out to be a
spectacular! What with the genius of Joseph Espiritu
for creating the computer program, a team of
professional judges, knowledgeable contest master, a
versatile emcee, talented contestants and cheering squads,
plus the energetic, colorful, and exotic performance of
Riyadh's cultural groups.
On behalf of the Filipino Expatriates Society (FES), we
wish to thank all the sponsors and supporters of
Essaylympics 2005. Though there were some flaws in the
contest, the entirety of it we believe, was a success.
Since this is the first of its kind competition, we
expected some errors in the execution and we have taken
note of them.
