To Our
Sponsors and Supporters,
A simple essay writing contest turned out to be a
spectacular! What with the genius of Joseph Espiritu
for creating the computer program, a team of
professional judges, knowledgeable contest master, a
versatile emcee, talented contestants and cheering squads,
plus the energetic, colorful, and exotic performance of
Riyadh's cultural groups.
On behalf of the Filipino Expatriates Society (FES), we
wish to thank all the sponsors and supporters of
Essaylympics 2005. Though there were some flaws in the
contest, the entirety of it we believe, was a success.
Since this is the first of its kind competition, we
expected some errors in the execution and we have taken
note of them.
Many thanks to Merex Forwarders for the top prizes,
Comsofil for the computer hardwares and screens, Jess
Ursua and Noel Balderrama for the food and banner, Peking
Restaurant and Jimmy Soriano for the food during the
judges' night, Gerico Canlapan for the exquisite pictures,
Mr. Khan, Mr. Nasser Al Yamni, Tony Tejano, Ben Pujeda and
Mr. Chito Ocampo of Dynafarm for the cell phones, Mr. Kim
Abdullah of Al Rashid Trading, Juffali Boys, Calabarzon,
and of course the Philippine Embassy and that includes the
security guard on duty that night and the Philippine
Guardians Brotherhood Inc.
Salamat din (alphabetical order) kay Richie Civil of
A.L.C.A., Jun Veloso of Extreme Impact, Luis Ganchero of
F.A.C.E.S. and Rannie Basanta of S.E. Productions, plus
the participation
of Kalahi Band, Danny Tejoso of Real Flowers for the
laurels and flowers, and Kevin Sawyer, Cindy dela Cruz,
Windell Villanueva, for their lovely songs and Henry Guia
for his lights and sounds.
Your support has motivated us even more to create future
projects.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you very, very much.
