Ang kaso ni Mary Jane, ay nailathala natin sa website na ito na may pamagat na Pinay OFW na may kanser sa Russia, humiling na makauwi sa Pilipinas para makasama ang kanyang pamilya<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filipino cancer patient Mary Jane<\/strong> , who was in a hospice in Moscow and dreamed of dying at home, was able to get to Manila. She met with loved ones. This was announced<\/a>  on September 23 by Anna Federmesser,<\/strong>  founder of the Vera hospice charity foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYesterday Mary Jane arrived in Manila, spent a day in quarantine at the hotel (at this time, we also needed our pain relief), and today she was transferred to the hospital, where she finally saw her family. Mary is a fighter. She made it in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to many and many of you who have prayed for her and donated money for this wildly expensive route, \u201dwrote Anna Federmesser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A woman has advanced stage breast cancer with metastases to the spine. In early September, the doctors said that she had 2 weeks to live. Mary wanted to say goodbye to her loved ones, but to return to her homeland, she needed about 1 million rubles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This money was collected by<\/a> caring people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI had to decide how to transport morphine, because she is on pain relief 24\/7. Three-day pain relieving patches did not give a sufficient effect, and one injection or one pill would not have been enough for her all this long journey, because there is still a transplant in the middle of the world. Then there were difficulties with a visa for accompanying doctors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All this was handled manually by our coordinator of the Degunino hospice. On the phone with three countries, embassies, consuls, airlines, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and most importantly – in constant communication in English with Mary Jane herself, which is fading day by day … “, said Anna Federmesser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
