Mr. Miguel “Mike” Bolos Jr<\/strong>. worked with the GAMA Services Ltd. a member of the FAL group of companies in the areas of corporate accounting and financial management in Riyadh, KSA from March 1982 to June 2005. He was the corporate assistant comptroller to the company, leading healthcare company engaged in the management, operation and maintenance of hospitals and clinics throughout the Middle East, and interim Chief Financial Officer of its affiliated companies. \u00a0His education and accreditation include :<\/p>\n

Former Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Bahnarim A. Guinomla led the Filipino community in recognizing the valuable services to fellow Filipinos of an Overseas Filipino Worker for his philanthropic activities and courageous advocacy of important issues affecting OFWs in general. Ambassador Guinomla presented to Mr. Miguel “Mike” Bolos, Jr. a Certificate of Recognition for the many years of voluntary service he has rendered to distressed OFWs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Guinomla also praised Mr. Bolos for embodying the ideal of a successful, world-class Filipino with deep understanding, abiding faith and genuine love of the Philippines. In his remarks, Mr. Bolos shared with the Ambassador and the other guests his vision of an economically-empowered community of OFWs, which he intends to pursue when he returns home.<\/p>\n

Mike has put up a spa center in Manila and a commercial building in his hometown, Guagua, Pampanga.”I\u2019d rather spend whatever earnings I have here”, says Bolos<\/p>\n

The spa which started in August, 2005 employs 18 women, whom he says could have ended as domestic helpers had they gone abroad.”They were merely high school graduates but they earn here as much as P20,000 monthly as masseuse”, he adds.<\/p>\n

The P60-million, 3-story commercial building, on one hand, is expected to be in full swing this month. It will house various establishments such as a dance studio, an Internet caf\u00e9, a 7-11 convenience store and a modern American-patterned dental clinic run by his son-in-law.”The mall type building will be the center of life (in Guagua). This is my way of paying back the people I grew up with. This will be a one-stop shop”, he adds.<\/p>\n
