She added that once the mechanism for implementing the new requirements is agreed upon, the door will be opened for new contracts and recruitment from the Philippines in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the “safety” platform and the issuance of new visas from the Ministry of Interior.

The sources indicated that the return of workers to Kuwait will be preceded by the termination of the procedures of some workers who are stranded in Kuwait and want to leave them, after they resorted to their embassy for refusing to work after the end of their contracts, or the sponsors ’failure to pay their monthly financial dues.

She indicated that it is possible for the workers to leave after coordination with the Philippine Labor Office at the embassy, ​​the Department of Domestic Labor and the Ministry of the Interior at the beginning of next March.

Al-Dakhnan revealed that it was agreed to set next March 3 as a date for the evacuation of about 200 workers present in the embassy, ​​by plane provided by the Philippines, for their return to their country.

He stressed that the wide cooperation shown by the Public Authority for Manpower, represented by the Department of Organizing the Recruitment of Domestic Workers, with the demands of the Union accelerated the pace of dispatching these workers, indicating that the administration will receive from the embassy the workers who are there in stages, to be deposited in the shelter center until the end.

Among the procedures for their deportation, after making sure that they obtain all their financial rights. He thanked the authority for this serious cooperation that reflects positively on the labor market and speeds up the process of resuming the recruitment of new workers.

Regarding what was recently raised about imposing a financial guarantee for every worker brought from the Philippines, Al-Dakhnan emphasized that this issue was resolved by rejection, stressing that there will be no financial guarantee for the recruitment.

He added that “regarding the resumption of the recruitment of new workers, no date has been set for that, but the matter is imminent, especially with overcoming obstacles and solving the problems that prevent this, among these big problems are the female workers who are stranded in the embassy.”

Regarding the latest developments in the recruitment of Ethiopian workers, Al-Dakhnan explained that there is continuous follow-up by the Union to find out the latest developments in the final signature of the memorandum for the recruitment of this labor, which provides for its validity large sums of money to citizens and residents, stressing that permitting its recruitment will create a balance in the market and solve a large proportion of problems The lack of domestic workers that we currently suffer.
