1. Kuwaiti Ministry of Health renews its assertion: Covid-19 vaccines used in Kuwait are safe and continuous. We follow up the safety of vaccines in coordination with the international authorities, and in the event of any developments or unexpected side effects, these will be announced through the official channels.

2. We did not see any unexpected side effects and most of these were a normal response of the immune system.

3. We have not detected any blood clots or deaths related to COVID-19 vaccines.

A working group that monitors the side effects of Covid-19 vaccines at the Ministry of Health renews its emphasis on the safety and effectiveness of vaccines approved for use in the country, and not detecting any unexpected response effects among the total of those who received the vaccination.

The team referred to what the international organizations represented by the World Health Organization and the European Medicines Agency confirmed their full belief in the benefits and safety of the Oxford vaccine against Covid-19, and to continue to track the health status of those who received the vaccination in the country. The competent team emphasized that no blood clots or deaths related to Covid-19 vaccines used in the State of Kuwait were detected.

The team is reassured that the side effects that have been detected or inherited by the competent team are all known or potential, and these are temporary and do not pose a threat to the health and safety of the vaccinated. And that is based on international follow-up and verification standards, after complete analysis and careful evaluation of what was then monitored.

In this context, the team clarified that the side effects that were detected as a result of the Covid-19 vaccination are expected and may last for a while. It is a potential reaction and a normal response of the immune system.

The team affirmed its continued follow-up to the safety of vaccines through continuous cooperation and coordination with the competent international authorities. It also checks for any unexpected side effects to assess the causal relationship between them and the vaccine. In the event of any developments or unexpected side effects, these will be announced immediately through the official authorities.
