The Philippine Embassy conducted its second consular outreach mission to Al-Khobar in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia on 26-27 January, and served 527 Filipinos.
The consular team traveled to Al-Khobar, more than 400 kilometers from Riyadh, the capital where the Embassy is located, for this consular outreach. The consular services were held at the Aljazeera International School Dammam.
The team, led by Consul Mohd. Noordin Pendosina Lomondot, was encoded 480 e-Passport applications, processed 6 notarials, notarized 11 reports of birth, and extended or amended 30 passports. The team also released 883 passports to applicants who applied during past consular outreach missions
Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago thanked the volunteers from Filipino community who have tirelessly helped the Philippine Embassy team, some consistently and continuously volunteering for the past decade since the Embassy launched the “ Embassy on Wheels ”.
The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh has increased its planned consular outreach missions for the Eastern Region from 12 in 2011 to 18 for 2012 for Al-Khobar / Dammam.
The next Embassy on Wheels will be in Buraidah, Central Region on 09-10 February 2012 at the Al Salam Hotel, Buraidah, Central Region. Applicants for passports during the EOW in Buraidah do not need an appointment.
On the other hand, passport applicants for EOWs in Al-Khobar or Dammam are advised to obtain an appointment by text 0540269731 and sent this message “EOW(space)full name(space)city in KSA”. (Example: EOW Juan Santos Dammam). Filipinos with access to the Internet may get an appointment on the website of the Embassy, which allows immediate confirmation.
